The car count continues to grow. We have had to split the IKF flat karts into separate classes, one for youths and one for the adults. The QMA Quarter Midgets are staying consistent but we hope these will grow now that summer is here.
It was an action packed night of close racing. After running all the heat races we lined up the main events in all the classes and the winners are as follows:
In the Quarter Midget Novice division we crowned Monique Shim Queen in the 21 car.
The Quarter Midget Light division saw James Leleiwi finish in the number 1 slot behind the wheel of the 21 machine.
The IKF Adult class saw hard and heavy action and a last lap, last turn crash mixed up the finish order. Crossing the finish line first was the 51 car driven by Chad Tenski.
The last main was for the IKF Youth class and after 19 laps were in the books it looked like Lane Rightmire in the 44 entry would cruise to his first ever win, but in the last lap last corner he spun out and got stuck, 10 feet from the finish line and had to watch as Patricia Phillips drove her 93 machine by for the win.
